Hebrew 1: Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Tools & Methods (Day Course)
OT500A Hebrew 1: Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Tools & Methods
Tuesdays & Fridays, 9.00 am – 10.30 am
You will learn how to use tools and methods that will make you a better informed and more accurate interpreter of the Old Testament, and be equipped with some fundamentals of Hebrew. Open to all except MDiv Teaching and Exposition program students.
Pre-requisite or concurrent with: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics.
Jeremy Chew, PhD, as a Cru Singapore staff (since 1991), ministered to high school and campus students both locally and overseas as a missionary. He received his PhD from Asbury Theological Seminary. His greatest desire is to integrate biblical exposition with spiritual formation.
This class is for the semester of 20 July to 20 November 2020. It may be conducted fully online or a combination of online and in-person depending on situation. Registration deadline is Monday, 13 July 2020. You may register online or contact us for registration form.
Theological Issues “I’ve Always Wondered…” (Part 2)
Cru Singapore organised and EAST presented at a theological issues webinar, “I’ve Always Wondered” (Part 2), which took place on 26 June 2020. The panel of speakers consisted of Dr Lewis Winkler, Dr Raymond Go, and Dr Heng Hwee Chuang, all Resident Faculty of EAST. You may view the webinar video above.

Expository Preaching 1 (Day Course)
LF555 Expository Preaching 1 (2 credits)
Wednesdays, 9.00 am-11.15 am
Going beyond public speaking skills, you will learn how to take a biblical text and develop a message relevant to the audience.
Pre-requisites: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics, OT510 Old Testament Narratives, may be taken concurrently with NT510 New Testament Narratives.
Jacob Li, ThM, is passionate about teaching. He holds a Master of Continuing Education (Adult Learning) from University of Calgary (Canada) and Master of Theology (Bible Exposition) from Dallas Theological Seminary (USA). He has taught at churches, para-church ministries and seminaries in Canada, USA and Asia.
