East Asia School of Theology (EAST) is partnering with Asia Graduate School of Theology Alliance (AGST-Alliance) to offer doctorate-level programs. Currently, the partnership has two programs with each focused on its own context and target audience.


Doctor of Ministry

The Doctor of Ministry in Leadership (DMin) is an English program designed for Christian ministers and leaders of full-time vocational Christian ministry. The in-person class locations are conducted in Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. Some of the classes are being conducted online. The host for the program is Korea Campus Crusade for Christ. The inaugural cohort started in 2018.

Doctor of Education

The Doctor of Education (EdD) is a transformative program which seeks to combine the best of AGST-Alliance and EAST in its philosophy and practice of learning.

The EdD program will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia (or translated from English) and designed for faculty of Christian higher education and Christian ministers. The location of in-person classes will mostly be in Medan, Indonesia. Some modules may be offered in Singapore or through online learning, depending on the situation. The host for the program is Bethsaida Evangelical School of Theology/Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injil Bethsaida, Medan (BEST).

The EdD program student application is open for the inaugural 2021 cohort with the application deadline of 30 October 2020. The program brochure can be downloaded here.
