Spiritual Life & Transformation (TS532, 3 Credits, Online*)
11 January – 10 May 2022, Thursdays, 9.00 am-12.00 pm
Examines God’s work to bring people into a life-changing relationship with Himself. It also explains our identity, position, and authority in Christ and gives biblical and practical instruction about living a holy life under the complete lordship of Jesus Christ. In addition, students will learn how to practice spiritual disciplines, resist temptation, demonic influence, and help people having spiritual conflicts find and maintain their freedom in Christ.
*Note: This course will have 3 sessions that will be taught onsite. While it is required for all students who are in Singapore to attend these 3 classes, students who are overseas (not in Singapore) will be allowed to attend these classes online.

We have much to thank our good Lord for! We thank Him for His gift of enablement. He has opened the way for those whom He called to fulfill His purpose even when travelling seemed impossible during the current strict global border controls.
Praise God for His protection for the safe arrivals of four student families and one faculty family at EAST. Their coming has enriched our community as well as allowing them to experience the multicultural lifestyles in Singapore.
Pray for :-
- God’s continual protection and provision for the international families during their equipping and teaching time in Singapore.
- Other International students who have received permission to enter Singapore will be able to make their way here safely and not be affected by the new variant Omicron.

On DMin Program and Thinking Critically: Samuel Kim

EAST Alumnus Samuel Kim SeongMin who graduated with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2013 has enrolled in EAST-AGST-Alliance’s Doctor in Ministry (DMin) Program in 2018. In the short interview below, he shares his DMin journey – what led him to take up the program and how it has benefitted his life and ministry so far.
Q: Since your graduation from EAST, what made you decide to embark on the DMin program organised by EAST and AGST Alliance?
A: I have had the most meaningful and prayerful moment when I spent time of study at EAST. I was refreshed and strengthened by God, fellow students and faculty there. Upon returning to Korea, I spent busy times adjusting back and leading ministry. Also, I was gradually exhausted. I usually taught the Bible to students in small groups, led the ministry, but my heart longed for restoration. Then I heard about the DMin program and one of the seniors suggested that I joined the program. I thought that if I studied, I would be busier than now, but on the other hand, I also expected that I would be refreshed and grow more. If I grow more, I have the belief that I will be able to better serve my ministry. Not only that, but I also thought it was an opportunity to contribute to Korean Campus Crusade for Christ (KCCC), the organization I belong to. So, I applied for the DMin program.

Old Testament Narratives (OT510, 3 Credits, Online)
11 January – 10 May 2022, Tuesdays, 1.30 pm-4.30 pm
Expositional study of the Old Testament historical books (Genesis through Esther) giving attention to the covenant motif and theological themes. Emphasis will also be given to interpretation of narrative genre with attention to various elements such as literary, historical, political, and cultural context. Prerequisite: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics.
