Thankful to God for calling and setting apart His servant leaders to serve Him through teaching and discipleship of the faithful for His Kingdom’s purpose.
PRAYER POINTERS – 4 November 2021
Praise God that some EAST Faculty and staff have received their Long Service Award from Cru Singapore this week. Many have served as missionaries overseas and are currently teaching at EAST; imparting and impacting with their field experiences.
Pray for:
– The joy of the Lord to be with them, empowering them as they soldier on to raise the next generation of missionary practitioners for the Great Commission.
– EAST students will be equipped in head, heart and hands to become servant leaders who spread the Gospel and make disciples to the ends of the earth.

CCTI 2021 – Reaching, Building and Praying with the Nations
CCTI is a core segment of our student programme at EAST. It stands for Cross-Cultural Team Internship, and the team ministry experience is truly cross-cultural–within the team and on the ministry field.

Above is a 20-minute tutorial by Mrs Josephine Li on Easy Verse Mapping using the tried and tested Bible Study Methods of 1) Observation, 2) Interpretation, and 3) Application. Josephine is an EAST Partners-in-Ministry Adjunct Faculty and she is passionate in conducting bible-oriented digital workshops to reach sisters-in-Christ in Asia and beyond. She has previously shared about her vision for her ministry here.
Prayer Pointers – 28 October 2021
“ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20, ESV
We are commanded to go, to reach out to all nations with the gospel in God’s name. With the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, we are to teach and lead fearlessly in all corners of the earth till God summon us home.
PRAYER POINTERS – 28 October 2021
Praise God that some EAST students have gone through a season of CCTI (Cross Cultural Team Internship) via digital missions to India, Cambodia, Philippines and Singapore. Physically we may be locked down, but the Gospel prevails in crossing borders to bless and to impact.
Pray for:
– Those reached by the digital missions to continue to grow in what they have learned and have faith in trusting God to bring them through this difficult time.
– God’s empowerment for East students to continue in their respective ministries while they are being equipped at EAST.

Mongolian Student: Taivan & his family have arrived in Singapore!
On 13th October 2021, Taivan and his family finally arrived in Singapore from Mongolia. Taivan and his wife Tungaa are both staff of Mongolia Campus Crusade for Christ, or now known as Cru Mongolia. In fact, Taivan has been the director of Mongolia Young Life ministry for the past ten years. Below is a short interview with Taivan regards to his life and ministry prior to enrolling at EAST for the Master of Arts in Leadership program. The family is currently serving a 10-day quarantine before moving to their new home in Bukit Panjang. Also, Taivan has arrived in Singapore in the thick of the first semester full of assignments to fulfil. Do keep this family who is in transition in your prayers as you read to get to know them better.
