Thank you, Ravi Zacharias
The year was 2005, and I had recently joined Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru Singapore) as a campus ministry staff. I was in Bali attending an apologetics conference for youths with a couple of other fellow staff workers.
A few months before that, I had overheard them talking about it and became very intrigued. What in the world was apologetics?
Fast forward, and I found myself seated with them in a big hall, listening for several days to speakers such as Stuart McAllister, Michael Ramsden, L T Jeyachandran, I-Ching Thomas, and of course Ravi Zacharias. Little did I know the life-changing impact this conference, and the ministry of Ravi Zacharias in the days to come, will have upon my life and ministry.

Alumna’s “Best thing I had at EAST”
“Muugii” Namjildorg Munkhtsetseg, Partners in Ministry Certificate graduate (2020), shared about the “best thing” she experienced at EAST. She is thankful for loving mentors like Josephine and Agnes who took good care of her. Her husband, “Zoloo” Tsendendamba Zoljargal, also graduated with MA in Leadership (2020) and served as Student Council President.

In Whom or What Are You Hoping?
In whom or what are you hoping? by Dr Lewis Winkler
With the recent coronavirus outbreak, people have turned in a myriad of directions to find hope. Some have turned to the government and medical professionals to protect them, others have turned to miracle cures available for purchase on the internet, still others have turned to superstitions and rituals to provide the defenses they need to combat this unseen menace.
All of this illustrates that people hope in lots of different things: economic prosperity, global initiatives for solving climate change, better political leaders, educational reform, religion, meaningful friendships and romantic relationships, good food and drink, the newest diet plan, the latest entertainment options and social media platforms, better healthcare—the list is nearly endless.

To all beloved mothers in our lives – biological, adoptive and spiritual, Happy Mother’s Day! You are well described in Proverbs 31:28-30 (NIV):
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
