As a Christian, are you seeking theological answers to questions about AI? Would you like to join informal theological discussions over the lunch hour on “hot button” issues related to AI?

EAST is organising a series of Theological Lunch discussions this semester looking at the various biblical, educational, ethical, and theological issues as it relates to AI or artificial intelligence. Topics to be covered include:

  • AI and What It Means To Be Human
  • AI and Relationships
  • AI and Education
  • AI and How We Know Things
  • AI, God, and Us
  • AI and Eschatology (End Times)

Theological Discussion Lunch – August 2023

Would you like to discuss contemporary theological issues over informal lunches?

EAST’s theology faculty conduct theological discussion lunches on selected Tuesdays. The topic for each discussion is usually selected by the students. You are most welcome to join in.

For the month of August 2023, here are the topics:

22nd – The church’s role in raising up the next generation
29th – Denominations: good or bad?

Please bring your own lunch for the informal discussions:
Time: 12.15 PM – 1.15 PM on selected Tuesdays (see above dates)

Eat & Talk: What is True Love?

What is true love to YOU?

On the upcoming Valentine’s Day, join us for a lunch date of “Eat & Talk” session at EAST Chapel. Come by for a practical theological discussion time led by Rev Dr Lewis Winkler (an EAST Resident Faculty) on how we can love God and love people around us better. Loving God and people is the crux of living a healthy, wholesome Christian life, be it whether we are married or single.

Come on down and join in the lively discussion, and be inspired to be a better Valentine for God and for those around us!
