Burnee as a Partner in Ministry

Ms Burnee Jargal said, “Back in Mongolia, I didn’t serve alongside my husband in ministry. I didn’t have the desire nor knew how. But when I came to EAST I saw many faculty couples serving together. That sparked my desire.”

She graduated with the Partner in Ministry certificate (2017) and a Graduate Diploma in Christian Ministry (2018).

I & II Samuel (Day Course)

OT538 I & II Samuel (3 credits)
Fridays, 1.45 pm-5.00 pm

The books of Samuel invite the reader to a journey from the theological summit of messianism to the valley of human depravities.  On this journey we will encounter famed heroes and failed fathers, loyal servants and lowly scumbags.  This journey welcomes us to the house of David, on a guided tour through his palace to private spaces behind doors where we will encounter acts of magnanimity as well as manipulation.  This class is designed with the hope of inviting you on a transformational journey as we deal with contemporary issues concerning leadership, parenting, role of women, friendship, and servanthood.

Jeremy Chew, PhD, as a Cru Singapore staff (since 1991), ministered to high school and campus students both locally and overseas as a missionary.  He received his PhD from Asbury Theological Seminary.  His greatest desire is to integrate biblical exposition with spiritual formation.
