Mentoring Group Outreach

What does EAST do during the month when Valentine’s Day is celebrated? We showed God’s love in various ways. EAST Mentoring Groups (students and faculty) partnered with a church or local ministry for an afternoon/evening of outreach. These outreaches provided opportunities to share Christ’s love through personal evangelism, service projects, and meeting practical needs.

Worldwide Day of Prayer 2016

EAST hosted the Worldwide Day of Prayer recently which was also co-organised by Cru Singapore and XChange. Staff and students from all three ministries came before the Lord God to seek His face in united prayer. Hallelujah!

EAST celebrated Seder or Passover on Wednesday, 23 March 2016, as part of Chapel prior to Good Friday.  Led by Dr. Keith Shubert, EAST’s Principal, the celebration includes the lighting of candles, hand washing, songs of worship and praise, followed by a meal.  Keith recounted for us how a Jewish family would traditionally observed the Passover. It was indeed a meaningful time of reflection and reminder for us of the Person and work of Christ on the Cross, and that Christ being our Passover Lamb who was slained to redeem us from sin.
