A personal relationship with God

In Hebrews, “draw near” is frequently used to mean approaching God. Such an act requires one’s sins are forgiven through the sacrificial and an intermediary, such as a high priest.

Fortunately, as Christians, we have the privilege of a personal relationship with God. We are free to approach and be personal with Him through the death of his Son Christ Jesus. We should not doubt our relationship with Him. With confidence and without shame, we will receive mercy and grace in our times of need.

Have there been things you haven’t spoken to God about recently? Be it due to shame or guilt? Or even because you feel it is too insignificant to pray about? This verse tells us to bring all these to God in our prayers, to treat is as a most personal relationship in our lives,

Prayer Pointers – 4 March 2021

“And, in addition to all these things, put on love, which ties things together in perfect unity.” – Colossians 3:14, ESV.
We are called above all, to serve one another with love. It is upon such a solid foundation that we can help EAST achieve its mission of “equipping servant leaders for the Great Commission.”
Let us pray for EAST Administrative and Ministry staff to continue in love and unity as they serve with a servanthood attitude. Shalom.

Prayer Pointers – 25 February 2021

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19.

We are commanded to make disciples of all nations. In order to continuously send labourers to the mission field, training must go on. Covid-19 has accelerated EAST in its use of onsite, online, and hybrid means to reach and equip leaders for the Great Commission. As you sense God’s calling, do go to EAST, be trained and empowered for ministry.

Prayer Pointers – 11 Feb 2021

This Lunar New Year will be celebrated differently due to Covid restrictions. There are safe ways to bless our families and others with the love of Christ. The new EAST campus, located at 118 Joo Chiat Road is within a multicultural and historical neighbourhood. May they learn of and receive God’s love during this festive season.

“Honor your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 19:19, ESV

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.“ – 2 Peter 3:9, ESV
