EAST Chapel Service

The Balanced Life” is the theme for the current semester of Chapel services. At the last Chapel, a panel of students and staff shared perspectives on their attempt to maintain such a balance with life and academia. Questions were also taken from those in attendance. Kudos to the Mentoring Group team who organized and led the Chapel time. Special thanks to Jonathan Ang for his moderating the panel discussion.

Greek Tools and Methods

The Greek Tools and Methods course equips Bible students to dig deep using biblical language yet with a gentler learning curve.  The teacher, Dr. Rob MacEwen, has other academic interests as well which include the Synoptic Gospels and the relationships between Acts and Paul’s letters.

Old Testament Wisdom Literature

How does the Old Testament Wisdom Literature remain relevant and applicable to current times in Asia? Dr. Rico Villanueva, the course teacher, introduced the books of Job, parts of the Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs and led the class in discerning their use in our own culture.
