Alumna Pang Xin Xian: Joy of Seeing God’s Fingerprints

Pang Xin Xian (Singapore), MDiv ICS On September 25, 2025, the Field Education class went for a wheel-throwing formation workshop. Here is Xin Xian’s reflection.

We felt very excited as it was the first time to the pottery for everyone. Many lessons stood out for me. The first was that wheel-throwing is a slow and repetitive process, which requires many rounds of spinning. A few times, I exerted too much or too little pressure and my clay went wobbly. Thank God that the instructor was always on hand to re-center my clay. This spoke to me of God’s work in my life, and how He is always there even though it feels like I am just going around in circles.
