New Testament Narratives (Day Course)
NT510 New Testament Narratives (3 credits)
Tuesdays: 2.00 pm – 5.30 pm, 20 July – 20 November 2015
There’s only one Jesus Christ, so why are there four Gospels? This course will uncover the way each Gospel gives us a compatible, yet distinct, portrait of the character, life, and teachings of our Lord. It will also explore what Jesus continued to do and teach through the early church as seen in the book of Acts. You will learn about the first-century context of Jesus and the early church as well as how the world-changing movement Jesus started continues to impact our lives today. Pre-requisite: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics. Students taking this course for audit (i.e. not for credit), will not be required to fulfil the pre-requisite.
Rob MacEwen, PhD
Rob has lived and served in various Asian countries for over twelve years, with ministries including university student outreach, leadership training, and Bible teaching. He is the author of Matthean Posteriority (2015 Bloomsbury T&T Clark), a book that explores the literary relationships between the first three Gospels.

Building Spiritual Movements (Day Course)
IS501 Building Spiritual Movements (3 credits)
Fridays: 9.00 am – 12.45 pm, 20 July – 20 November 2015
Most Christians desire to be effective witnesses and spiritual multipliers but never quite know how to go about it. This course provides an effective and practical approach to equip you to build communities of Spirit-filled multipliers by following Jesus’ example and strategy. Pre-requisite: IS401 Evangelism and Follow-Up Seminar. Students taking this course for audit (i.e. not for credit), will not be required to fulfil the pre-requisite.

Janice’s ministry spans more than 30 years in Singapore and in cross-cultural settings in the region. Her passion in evangelism and discipleship has inspired many to go into the harvest fields and serve as leaders in spiritual movements.

Contextualisation (Day Course)
IS520/TS570 Contextualisation (2 credits)
Wednesdays: 9.00 am – 11.15, 20 July – 20 November 2015
This class will give you tools to contextualise critically both the gospel message and ministry methods and strategies so that the gospel will be planted deeply in Asian soil.
Kwa Kiem Kiok, PhD
Kiem Kiok spent six years with Graduates’ Christian Fellowship, equipping graduates for ministry in the market-place, and subsequently at a Methodist church in the areas of discipleship, training, and mentoring. She continues to actively serve in church and also sits on medical ethics committees.

Theology of Missions (Evening Course)
IS540A Theology of Missions (2 credits)
Tuesdays: 7.00 pm – 9.15 pm, 20 July – 20 November 2015
Will you join a mission trip in the future or mobilize others to go? This course will better equip you through a study of the underlying principles and theological presuppositions of the global Christian mission. It provides theological foundations for the global mission of the church, and will attempt to help you unify and integrate a wide range of theological themes in and around the issues of mission. Basic issues that confront the missionary will be investigated, as well as the more complex and contemporary issues.
Raymond Song Tae Suk, PhD
Raymond Song was a staff member of Cru for 15 years in the USA and Japan (Tokyo and Osaka) where he served as a Campus Director and a Regional Director. He also has 19 years pastoral ministry experience in local church, preaching, teaching, and discipling emerging Asian-American English generation in Korean-American churches. He has been an instructor of Missions in the Distance Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA). He is married to Justine Han and they have two sons in university.
