25th Anniversary Letter from the President

Dearly Beloved Partners in Ministry,
Warmest greetings in the Lord! I wish you a blessed 2017 filled with the Lord’s presence and favour.
EAST has increased in student enrolment and reached the limit of rented facilities. We have scaled beyond our borders to establish five EAST Extension Centers. By His grace we have privilege to touch lives from sixteen nations today. Truly, God has blessed supernaturally, including you and your partnership to make it possible. Thank you for the giving of yourselves generously in prayer and financial support.
2017 marks the 25th Anniversary of East Asia School of Theology. Born out of faith vision, EAST still seeks to train, equip and raise ministry practitioners for the Great Commission in East Asia and beyond. By His grace we have championed holistic approach to learning, embracing the head, heart, and hands through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The faithful many have laboured at EAST in the past that we may have privilege to continue in His call. As never before, in the last five years, God has caused increased fruit… in faculty and staff recruitment, in transformed lives, as He pushes us to new mission frontiers through the Extension Centers.
We celebrate our 25th Anniversary of God’s goodness with sincere prayer that God will use EAST for the glory of God and His Kingdom goals.
Thank you for your irreplaceable part as we move ahead with unwavering passion as partners and co-workers in God’s Kingdom work.

East Asia School of Theology is 25 this year!
Save the date for our 25th Anniversary Celebration as we recount God’s goodness and faithfulness over the years. We desire to likewise look forward with the vision He has given us for more years of “developing Christ-like leaders for the Great Commission.” Shalom.

EAST Celebrates 25 Years of God’s Goodness
EAST Mentoring Group Retreat 2017
The annual EAST Mentoring Group (or MG) Retreat brings together all the MGs at the start of the second semester which coincides with the beginning of the calendar year. With a thematic devotional speaker, Dr Tom Roxas, on “Living Out Love” and time for relational bonding with others and with God, the retreat prepares the heart of God’s people for a new term of studies and ministry. Families are encouraged to come as a unit so that they too can benefit from the time.

You may view and download Gina Butz’s 2017 Personal Planner for free. She shared her motivation in coming out with one: “I wanted something that helped me start from 10,000 feet, reflecting on the previous year, and thinking through my vision for the future year. I made something that helps me look at how I’ll reach those goals each month and even each week. I use google calendar for my day to day, hour by hour planning, but this is where I will go to remind myself of the big picture. It’s also got a place to remind myself of daily habits I want to keep, my must read books for the year, and my prayer requests.”
