Homecoming Dinner 2017
The first EAST Homecoming Dinner 2017 saw some 80 alumni, faculty and staff, Cru Singapore leaders, and Board members gathered together. We praise God for the time of refreshed fellowship, rekindling of vision, and an opportunity to give toward the setting up of the EAST Alumni Association. We are thankful that the well-loved Dr Rick and Laurel Langston greeted all through video. The next two days after the Dinner was the Alumni Retreat 2017, another first! Hallelujah!

What is biblical humility and how could we have it? God’s Word commands us to have humility: “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up” (James 4:10). When Dr Abraham Joseph wrote his PhD dissertation on “A Christian Theology of Humility,” he found that biblical humility is different than what we consider as “humility.” You will explore these and many more practical implications of having biblical humility for marriage, health, family, ministry and Christian life.
Abraham Joseph, PhD, serves as professor of theology and director of PhD studies at the Asian Christian Academy, Evangelical Theological Seminary (India). His PhD (Systematic Theology) is from Dallas Theological Seminary. His calling is to equip believers with the knowledge of God’s Word so that they may live to His glory as witnesses to Jesus Christ.

Do you know your spiritual legacy? Knowing the spiritual legacy left by those who follow Christ can remind Christians of God’s faithfulness, provide role models, and give perspective during difficult times. This class will introduce you to key individuals and movements in Post-Reformation church history, the development of Western worldviews, and the spread of Christianity across Asia.
Raymundo Go, PhD, is the Theology department chair at the International Graduate School of Leadership (Philippines) where he also teaches courses on Asian culture and ethics as well as theology. His doctoral research focused on Asian church history. He has served with Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ since 1988 and is the Senior Pastor at the Philippine National Police Academy.

Christ Has Risen – Death Has No Sting!
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, NIV)
“He is not here; he has risen! … The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” (Luke 24:6-7, NIV)
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:54-57, NIV)
