AGSTA-EAST Doctor of Ministry Inaugural Graduation

 

Asia Graduate School of Theology Alliance (AGST Alliance) and East Asia School of Theology (EAST) partnered to offer the Doctor of Ministry in Leadership (DMin) program. While the program was opened to all EAST alumni, it was primarily alumni serving with Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (KCCC) who finally enrolled on the program.

The DMin graduation ceremony of the inaugural cohort (that began in 2018) was conducted at Seoul, South Korea on 15 October 2025. Heartiest congratulations to all the five graduates! We are so proud of your faithful dedication to complete the program despite your busy schedule as leaders of the ministry.

A KCCC senior leader, Rev Dr Rock Yoon, then East Asia Orient Director (and presently Director of Asia Leadership Foundation), broached the need for doctoral training of KCCC leaders with EAST President, Rev Dr Chan Chong Hiok. The latter then approached EAST Field Education Director, Dr Tan Ying Kheng to consider partnering with AGST Alliance for a joint program. She then worked closely with the Dean of AGST Alliance, Dr Tan Sooi Ling to forge such a partnership. Ying Kheng then became the Program Director for the joint DMin program which became a blessing to the KCCC leaders. The EAST Associate Dean of Academics, Dr Jeannette Shubert with her rich academic experience assisted Ying Kheng in the development and facilitation of the program. We praise God for providing the right people and needed resources to deliver the program!

Among those who spoke at the graduation ceremony were Rev Dr Park Sung-Min, President of KCCC, Rev Dr Jeong In-Soo, the former President of EAST, and Rev Dr Rock Yoon. Thank you for supporting the doctoral students over the years in their equipping.
