Above is a 20-minute tutorial by Mrs Josephine Li on Easy Verse Mapping using the tried and tested Bible Study Methods of 1) Observation, 2) Interpretation, and 3) Application. Josephine is an EAST Partners-in-Ministry Adjunct Faculty and she is passionate in conducting bible-oriented digital workshops to reach sisters-in-Christ in Asia and beyond. She has previously shared about her vision for her ministry here.

In the tutorial above, Josie introduced the Inductive Bible Study App to be downloaded and blueletterbible.org website as tools to be used during Observation and Interpretation. She also recommended Pastor Chuck Swindoll’s website Insight for Living to access further biblical resources on bible charts and devotionals. Within the short 20 minutes above, she walked through the exercise of doing a verse mapping from Ephesians 2:1-10.

It is important to begin the exercise with prayer and not simply treat it as an intellectual or academic pursuit because one is seeking for life’s applications and transformations from the study of God’s word. During the Application process, Josie pointed out five areas: Prayer, Promise, Sin/Error, Challenge & Command where God can allow us to apply what we learn from His Word.
