Ministry Update from Manipur

Alumnus Pammiyo Kasar and wife Athot

Pammiyo Kasar, who graduated in May 2018 with a Master of Divinity in InterCultural Studies, sent his February 2021 ministry update to EAST from Manipur and shared that 2020 has been a year of struggle and hardship for many. Amidst the struggles and sufferings, there are still reasons to rejoice and be thankful to God. He and his wife Athot have experienced God’s provision, protection and healing grace.

At the peak of lockdown in May 2020, God still provided an avenue of ministry, together with partnering NGOs and a relief team, to reach out to 6,400 North East returnees at the railway station. Apart from the relief work at the railway station, many relief works were done in other ministry areas as well. Gospel was shared during the Christmas season and New Year. Pammiyo also had the opportunity to teach pastors on a monthly basis in Siliguri or Darjeeling area.

Pammiyo is involved in youth counselling that involves youth with gaming addiction. Being able to draw these youths away from their devices and praying for them brings him great joy and delight as well. Another highlight of his ministry was presenting a song together with his wife Athot at several churches. The song is “Search My Heart” and below are the lyrics which really made Pammiyo like the song,

“By Your precious blood, I will dwell in You

By Your righteousness, I will walk

By Your gracious love, I will seek Your name

By Your righteousness, I will walk, I will walk with You.”

Prayer Requests:

Pray for journey mercies as Pammiyo and Athot are both travelling within Manipur as of now, for ministry.

Pray for their future plan both in terms of ministry and family planning.
