Korean Christian Counselling Certificate Program Launch

  • Dr Jackie Kim, Program Director & EAST Adjunct Faculty, welcoming all students

The Christian Counselling Certificate program (CCC) was launched on 4 August 2025 with an inaugural cohort of over 20 students. The CCC program is designed to meet a specific set of needs for Korean Christian women and conducted in Korean as a partnership between East Asia School of Theology and Elim Center.

It aims to “equip individuals with practical counselling skills to serve the Korean community with a Christ-centered approach, addressing emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs from a biblical perspective.” This program addresses a gap in Korean-language Christian counselling program that is conducted at a higher education level in Singapore. It has been designed with the global educational framework of micro-credential in mind while integrating biblical principles. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion issued by EAST. Read more

Mid-year Student Orientation 2023

EAST Mid-year Student Orientation, January 2023

At the beginning of the second semester (Jan-May) 2023, a two-day orientation for new program students took place at EAST. These students hail from 6 countries in East Asia, South-East Asia, South Asia, and North America. We are thankful to God for leading each to do theological studies at EAST. Among them are ministers, church workers, missionaries, and working professionals. It was truly heartening to hear them share their stories–journeys of faith even as they arrive in EAST, Singapore for further equipping in a multi-cultural environment and for spiritual refreshment.

Please pray for each of them to experience God’s transforming work in their personal lives and ministry through their studies and cross-cultural exposure in Singapore and beyond.

Mid-year Student Orientation 2018

New Student Orientation was conducted for mid-year intake of students in January 2018. International students from Cambodia, East Asia, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Myanmar, South Korea, and USA are welcomed by fellow students, staff, and faculty. This “mini orientation” will be supplemented by the full immersion exercise, EAST Aleph, at the start of a new academic year in July 2018. Please be in prayer for these students as they begin their learning journey with EAST.
