Have you gone on a Holy Land tour in the past and would like to learn more about the places you visited? Or would you like to go in the future but not in the near future? This course will help you better understand the biblical geography, history, and culture. Evening seminars are designed to enhance your personal understanding and study of the Bible.

Keith enjoys making the world of the Bible come alive for his students. He lived in Jerusalem while doing his Masters degree in Historical Geography of Ancient Israel at the Jerusalem University College.

May 2014 Intensive Course: Theology and Exposition of Johannine Literature
Theology and Exposition of Johannine Literature (NT/TS 518, 3 credits)
Monday – Friday: 19-30 May 2014, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
The Apostle John, identified as the disciple whom Jesus loved, had a very close relationship with Jesus. In the Gospel of John and the Epistles of 1, 2, and 3 John, he wrote so that the reader would come to know Jesus, love and believe in Him, and live a life which reflected His presence. These four books will be studied in an expositional manner with special attention given to their doctrinal significance and relevance today.
Dr. Andrew Spurgeon is a Professor of New Testament Studies at ACA-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Hosur, India. He has published two commentaries: 1 Corinthians with ICNT series and Romans with ABC series. Each time he taught a block course at EAST, students have always enjoyed his practical Bible teaching. He and his lovely wife, Lori, reside in India. They have three sons.

Transforming Leadership (LF511, 3 credits)

Is leadership a job or a position? Or is it a passion and a calling?
A transformational servant-leader is capable of bringing about change in organizations and individuals. This course examines the underlying theology, leadership theory, and skill set of such a leader in today’s world.
Dr. Henry Tan has over 30 years of experience in executive leadership training and development around the world. Much of his work has included coaching high-level management personnel. He is a consultant with Global Leadership Development (affiliated with Campus Crusade for Christ International) and the past President of ISOT-Asia (now International Graduate School of Leadership) in Philippines. Henry grew up in Malaysia and now lives in US.
