Theology of Work – Module 2: Vocation
Why and how is your “ordinary” work God’s sacred vocational calling for you?
Martin Luther argued that when a baker bakes bread, God is feeding the world through the baker’s hands. This module explores Luther’s recovery of ordinary work as vocation and its challenge to the sacred-secular divide that still shapes how many Christians view their jobs.
We will consider what it means to understand your specific work as a calling, how that affects the way you inhabit your role, how you navigate ambiguity, and how you think about transitions across a working life

Would you like to be a more biblically strategic and operationally competent church layleader, elder or pastor in an increasingly complex environment?

The advent of AI and technology, the growth of a more educated populace and congregation; whose lives and living are shaped and impacted by digital disruptions, economic pressures, generational shifts, and pluralistic values — a need had arisen where church leaders of the future are expected not only to acquire organisational management ability, but also critical people skills to complement the governance of churches, biblical pastoral shepherding of God’s people; thereby ensuring a continual and sustainable church mission anchored in Christ.
