Faculty Development Days

At the recent Faculty Development Days an EAST’s resident faculty, Dr Tan Ying Kheng, showed how greater reflexivity in teaching and ministry leads to more in-the-moment relevance, greater engagement, and heightened effectiveness.

The faculty team then attended the Dining in the Dark immersion experience with the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped.

Blessings of Christmas 2016!

From all of us at EAST:

May you experience the Prince of Peace this Advent as you celebrate the Christ of Christmas!

Shalom!

Happy Teacher’s Day 2016

EAST wishes all coaches, disciplers, educators, mentors, parents, and teachers a most blessed Teacher’s Day 2016!

Congratulations to Singapore on Its First Olympic Gold

EAST congratulates Singapore and Joseph Schooling for their first-ever Olympic gold and for the latter’s setting a new Games record for the Swimming Men’s 100m Butterfly @50.39 sec. Onward Singapore! Majulah Singapura!

“This moment is not all about me. …It’s for my country, my friends, my family and all those people who supported me and believed in me,” said Schooling, after his win at the Rio Olympics 2016.

The Singaporean of Eurasian descent further added: “All I can say is I’m really honoured and privileged to have the opportunity to race in an Olympic final alongside huge names like Michael, Chad and Laszlo–guys who have changed the face of this sport. Guys who have won the most number of golds and medals in Olympic history, a guy who will go down as the greatest of all time. I’m honoured and glad to get that moment.”

“It’s been a lot of hard work. I’ve done something that no one in our country has done before, I’ve received a lot of support and that’s phenomenal,” shared the 21-year old Joseph, “I can’t really describe what that means to me but it has been a tough road, I’m not going to lie. The first guys through the wall is always bloody. I’ll have to take that blow and I’m thankful and blessed to have the ability to accomplish this.”
