The Christian Witness: An Integrated Approach

The Christian Witness: An Integrated Approach
An in-person 4-evening short course designed for intentional and thoughtful gospel-minded Christians!
In an AI age of oversaturated media and fake news, what should we be as Christian witnesses? What mind-shift needs to take place to engage the world we live in? Has our effort to be light and salt reduced it to just a desperate attempt to find a winning strategy or is there a Biblical approach to equip the Christian witness, integrating evangelism, discipleship, apologetics and spiritual formation?
Speaker: Jose Philip, PhD Candidate

Contemporary culture is marked by advanced modernity—characterized by increased pluralism, intensified privatization of belief, and accelerated institutional disaffiliation. The Christian witness, therefore, has not only lost its public credibility but also suffered from internal fragmentation. Apologetics, evangelism, discipleship and spiritual formation have increasingly been treated as separate domains, resulting in a diminished, incoherent, and often ineffective expression of the Church’s participation in the Missio Dei. This fragmentation mirrors and inadvertently reinforces the very cultural disintegration the Church seeks to address.
Jose Philip (PhD Candidate), has spent over two decades serving across cultures — from the corporate world to the church, from Asia to North America. He has worked in business leadership, led non-profits, mentored young leaders, and served as a pastor and educator in diverse settings. What ties it all together is his deep passion: to nurture Gospel Shaped Communities—a way of following Jesus that integrates Apologetics, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Spiritual Formation. Jose is married to Cinu and they have two children.
