Theology 1 (Day Course)
TS510 Theology 1 (3 credits)
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9.00 am-10.45 am, 18 July to 18 November 2016
Survey, interact with, and imaginatively apply in contemporary context the major theological and scriptural doctrines relating to the Bible, God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Pre-requisites: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics, TS510 Worldview and Biblical Decision Making or IS520 Contextualisation.
Lewis joined Cru in 1987 and has taught in three seminaries in the USA and Asia. He enjoys interacting with students over basketball and casual discussion on how the Bible applies to life and issues today.

Contextualisation (Day Course)
IS520/TS570 Contextualisation (2 credits)
Wednesdays: 9.00 am – 11.15 am, 18 July to 18 November 2016
This class will give you tools to critically contextualise both the gospel message and ministry methods and strategies so that the gospel will be planted deeply in Asian soil.
Kwa Kiem Kiok, PhD
Kiem Kiok spent six years with Graduates’ Christian Fellowship, equipping graduates for ministry in the market-place, and subsequently at a Methodist church in the areas of discipleship, training and mentoring. She continues to actively serve in church and also sits on medical ethics committees.

Teaching and Learning 1 (Day Course)
LF530 Teaching and Learning 1 (2 credits)
Wednesdays: 9.00 am -11.15 am, 18 July to 18 November 2016
Ministry leaders are often asked to teach in small and large group settings. Sometimes the content is taught without consideration of the background and needs of the audience. Building on a foundation of Bible study, in this course you will learn how to assess the audience, develop a lesson plan, and facilitate in order that participants are actively engaged in the learning process. Pre-requisite: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics.
Jacob Li, ThM and Josephine Lam, MA
Jacob is passionate about teaching. He has 20 years of teaching adults in Canada, USA, and Asia. In addition to his ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary (USA), he has a Master of Continuing Education – Adult Learning from University of Calgary (Canada). Jacob is committed to helping people study the Word of God as well as to live out their God-given potentials.
Josephine graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Biblical Studies. Josephine has enjoyed teaching people in different age groups—from young children to seniors—and from diverse ethnic background. She has led bible studies and workshops in churches, para-church ministries and seminaries in US, Canada and Asia.

Christian Leadership Foundations (Day Course)
LF510 Christian Leadership Foundations (3 credits)
Fridays: 2.00 pm-5.30 pm, 18 July to 18 November 2016
You can’t lead others well until you are able to lead yourself. The course examines the biblical standard of leadership against some popular leadership ideas. You will discover how God has uniquely designed you as a leader in areas of gifting, passion, personality, and life experience and also how these define your ministry opportunities. You will develop a self-care and developmental plan based on an understanding of your physical, mental, social and spiritual conditions. Ministry models of a shepherd, a steward, and a servant in leadership will also be studied and applied.
Roland Tan, DMin
Roland has been involved in spiritual leadership and teaching since joining Cru Singapore (formerly Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ) over 40 years ago. He and his wife, Ying Kheng, served as missionaries in the Philippines, Korea, and Hong Kong. For ten years, he led Singapore Campus Crusade as national leader.

Theological Methods (Day Course)
TS506 Theological Methods (3 credits)
Fridays: 9.00 am-12.45 pm, 18 July to 18 November 2016
Learn and critically evaluate the various ways theology has been practiced throughout Church history as well as its practice in the contemporary context. As a result students will be able to appreciate the strengths and weaknesses of these various methods and develop a consistent theological method which will help them to become more biblically-minded and theologically responsible in approaching various issues in life and ministry. Pre-requisites: BS510 Bible Study Methods and Hermeneutics, TS510 Worldview and Biblical Decision Making.
