LF510 Christian Leadership Foundations (3 credits)
Fridays, 1.45 pm-5.00 pm

Self-leadership and self-care; how to set boundaries and build margin; how to serve with your gifting, passion, personality, and life experience as a leader; what are ministry models of a shepherd, a steward, and a servant in leadership-these are topics this course will discuss, with application to your personal life and ministry.

Roland Tan, DMin

Roland has been involved in spiritual leadership and teaching since joining Cru Singapore (formerly Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ) over 40 years ago. He and his wife, Ying Kheng, served as missionaries in the Philippines, Korea, and Hong Kong. For ten years, he led Cru Singapore as the national leader.

Casey Lok, DMin 

Casey is a staff of Cru Singapore since 1991. He has worked with campus students, missions mobilisation, and missionary care.  He and his wife, Siew Leng were missionaries to Japan (6 years). His DMin is from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (USA).

Dynamics of culture and its effects on people, ministry, and missions.  This course focuses on culture, worldview, and anthropological methodologies that are especially helpful for cross-cultural witness.

Kiem sits on a review board for medical research and a national level medical ethics committee.  She served for six years with Graduates’ Christian Fellowship.  She co-authors a commentary on the book of Matthew for the Asia Bible Commentary Series.

Contextualisation (Day Course)

This class will give you tools to critically contextualise both the gospel message and ministry methods and strategies so that the gospel will be planted deeply in Asian soil.

This course provides an effective and practical approach to equip you to build communities of Spirit-filled multipliers by following Jesus’ example and strategy.

Pre-requisite: IS401 Evangelism and Follow-Up Seminar.

Liong Kwok Wai, MDiv

Kwok Wai has been serving as a staff member of Cru Singapore for 17 years.  He has ministered among campus students, church planters and community leaders in Singapore and East Asia.  He was also involved in training full-time Christian workers and leadership development.

Missions Foundations (Day Course)

IS409 Missions Foundations (3 credits)
Thursdays, 1.45 pm-5.00 pm

This course focuses on God’s missions agenda throughout the Bible. In addition examples from various historical and contemporary contexts will be discussed. Participants will consider their personal role in missions today.  Class is taught at Bachelor’s level.

Samuel Too, DMin 

Samuel Too has been on staff with Cru Singapore for over 25 years.  He has worked with university students and pastors and church workers.  He and his wife, Agnes Kao, then served as missionaries in East Asia for 10 years.  Samuel is passionate about mentoring, equipping and sending out workers for the global harvest.  He is currently the Missions Head of Cru Singapore, overseeing missions mobilisation.  His doctorate is in Leadership Development from Singapore Bible College.  Samuel and Agnes have three children, ages 8-15.
