Lent, Passover and Easter
Chapel with a special emphasis on Lent, Passover, and Easter took place today. The theme of “Celebrating God’s redemption of His people” ties together the Passover, Christ’s work on the cross, and how God has changed our lives.
Dr. Keith Shubert expounded on the Passover elements and administered the Holy Communion. The student-led worship, scripture reading, personal testimonies, and prayer makes it a meaningful and reflective time.
Inter-Collegiate Games 2015
Five seminaries duke it out at these (mostly) annual games uniting theological institutions in Singapore. Staff and students originally from all continents of the world converge on ACS Independent School football pitch to play competitively, yet in Christian fellowship, in four sports: Telematch, Football (Soccer), Captain’s Ball, and Dodgeball. For the first time since its inception, there was no overall champion this time round. There were winners in individual games played, but what is championed is Christian fellowship and healthy competition among schools at the field. To God be the glory!
The ICG Cup was then passed from EAST to Trinity Theological College who will be the organizer for next year’s Games. Participating seminaries include Baptist Theological Seminary (BTS), East Asia School of Theology (EAST), Singapore Bible College (SBC), TCA College (TCA), and Trinity Theological College (TTC).
Thank you EAST Student Council and student councils from all other seminaries for your hard work in organizing it. And thank you to all staff and students for your enthusiastic participation. PRAISE THE LORD!
