EAST MG Retreat 2016

At the EAST Mentoring Group Retreat 2016, speaker Dr. Robert Solomon shared how one can be “apprenticed to Jesus.”

In Solomon’s three messages on Matt. 11:25-30, he spoke on “Come to Me,” the central paradigm to the Christian life is not “doing” or “being,” but “being with.” “Take My Yoke” differentiates between holy restlessness vs. neurotic, nervous restlessness. “Learn from Me” is becoming like Jesus as we deeply imbibe His Word and imitate His Walk.

“The pew cannot rise above the pulpit,” declared Emeritus Bishop Solomon. The minister must spend adequate time in the open bible.

Besides the plenary messages, the staff and students were able to spend rich time with the Lord personally, in worship as a community, enjoying the fellowship and food, and having fun together as a school. Praise God for a great “soulful” start to a new semester!

Exposition of Romans (Evening Course)

NT535 Exposition of Romans (2 Credits)
Thursdays: 7.00 pm-9.00 pm, 5 January to 20 May 2016

Romans is about gaining a right standing with God through the completed work of Jesus Christ, His Son. Both Jew and non-Jew are saved through faith in Christ. This is the clearest explanation of the doctrines of justification and sanctification in the Bible. God’s plan encompasses everyone, including the Jews, whom He has not rejected. In the last five chapters of the book, Paul taught what a sanctified life should look like.
