Biography

Josephine was born and raised in Hong Kong. When she was 19 years old, her family immigrated to Vancouver, Canada. In 1997, she graduated from Simon Fraser University in Canada with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring Marketing. Because of her deep interest in creativity and beauty, she continued her study in Interior Design Management at British Columbia Institute of Technology. Josephine has worked in marketing, fashion and interior design industries before receiving God’s calling to full-time ministry with her husband Jacob. Together they have two beautiful children—Josiah and Jesse.

Josephine and her husband has been serving at EAST since 2015 June. God has prepared Josephine for cross cultural ministry by allowing her to travel extensively with her family and husband. Her passion to share God’s love with people from different nations was cultivated through her involvement in various ministries with refugees, orphanages, local church outreach programs, and other women ministries.

In 2013, by the grace of God, Josephine completed the Master of Biblical Studies in 2013 at Dallas Theological Seminary, where God stretched her to be a full-time student, full-time wife, and a full-time mom, all at the same time. During her time at DTS, she concentrated her studies in Women Ministries and Cross Cultural Missions. Her passion is to teach and reach out to women from various backgrounds. God has blessed Josephine with a cheerful and friendly personality to help her relate well with other women.  While in the seminary, she was able to lead, encourage and equip other seminary wives to live out their God given potentials and serve effectively alongside their husbands.

Josephine and her husband have a passion to seek godly priorities and find balance between their marriage, parenting, and ministries. It is also their desire to encourage other fellow ministry families to find godly balance in their homes. Josephine is passionate about the Partner-In-Ministry program at EAST, where she currently serves. It is her joy to serve women from different nationalities.
