4Twelve Workshops

In the last few months, 4Twelve Academy, a new initiative of EAST that seeks to provide micro-credential trainings, rolled out free introductory workshops. Designed to fit into the busy lives of marketplace believers, these sessions were aimed to give participants a taste of how practical, bite-sized biblical training could benefit them.
We gathered the feedback from our participants across three distinct modules: The Skilled Helper, Strategic Leadership in Church Operations, and Theology of Work. Here is a look at what went well, what resonated most, and how we are moving forward.
The Skilled Helper
“It demonstrated the breadth of needs for helpers to grow and be trained in the skills of helping others.”
Stepping into the world of counselling and peer support can be daunting, but Dr. Danny’s introductory session provided practical handles. The biggest takeaway – Learning how to ask intentional, constructive questions that naturally draw people out and establish deep rapport.
Strategic Leadership in Church Operations
“Deeper insights into leadership responsibility within the church, the integration of spiritual and operational stewardship, gave me ways to apply what I’ve learnt to my church.”
Led by Elder Tan Ban Thong, this workshop struck a chord with ministry leaders and operational staff navigating the practicalities of church governance. For many, the workshop provided an important paradigm shift/reminder – that administrative planning frameworks, budgeting, and workflow designs are inherently spiritual acts of stewardship, not just “corporate tools.”
Theology of Work
“Brought biblically based perspectives especially starting with Creation pre-fall that is helpful to reframe our perspectives on work shaped by society.”
Participants left with a refreshed biblical framework. The workshop gave them time and space to reframe their daily professional trials and routine labour as genuine acts of service and worship to God.
Looking forward
We are thankful that majority of the workshop attendees stated that they would recommend these modules to their peers. Participants appreciated the face-to-face sessions too. Many were ready to dive deep into localized, real ministry issues and challenges. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared your insights.
In the months ahead, we are organizing more free workshops and launching our micro-credential courses! Check out this link for more details and registration.
