Korean Christian Counselling Certificate Program Launch
The Christian Counselling Certificate program (CCC) was launched on 4 August 2025 with an inaugural cohort of over 20 students. The CCC program is designed to meet a specific set of needs for Korean Christian women and conducted in Korean as a partnership between East Asia School of Theology and Elim Center.
It aims to “equip individuals with practical counselling skills to serve the Korean community with a Christ-centered approach, addressing emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs from a biblical perspective.” This program addresses a gap in Korean-language Christian counselling program that is conducted at a higher education level in Singapore. It has been designed with the global educational framework of micro-credential in mind while integrating biblical principles. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion issued by EAST.
EAST holistic approach in education seeks an integration of the heart, head, and hands through mentored learning. A unique feature of the CCC program, therefore, is the inclusion of mentoring as a requirement for all students.
