The following two classes are all conducted exclusively onsite. Certain classes may require audit students to complete some assignments and/or in-class projects to maximise their learning experience.

Exposition of Deuteronomy (Onsite)
OT534, 3 Credits
24 May – 1 June (from Wednesday through the following Thursday, excluding Saturday and Sunday)
9.00 am-5.00 pm

An expositional study of the book of Deuteronomy with attention to genre and structure, historical setting, purpose, biblical theology, major themes of the book, and relevance for life and ministry.

Steven Guest, PhD, earned his PhD in Old Testament Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2009). He served in the United Arab Emirates for 10 years as an electrical engineer, a church planter, and an associate pastor. He also served for nearly 7 years in India (2013-2019) as an Old Testament faculty at a seminary in Bengaluru. He is currently a faculty of Baptist Theological College Cebu, Graduate School of Theology (Philippines), and teaches Old Testament to the graduate students. His passion is to teach and preach the Old Testament for the strengthening of the Church in Asia.  Dr Guest is married to Joan and is the proud father of 2 married daughters and 7 delightful grandchildren.

 


Organisational Leadership (Onsite)

9.00 am-5.00 pm

A study of organizational behavior, development, and leadership, especially in faith-based organizations.  Students will interact with both biblical principles and best practices in the areas of organizational design, continued development and organizational health, team building, collaborative leadership, leadership development and succession strategies.

Neil Mamburam, DMin, is the President of L.E.A.D. Academy (Life Empowerment & Actions for Development) in the Philippines and his utmost goal is to bring transformation in all sectors of society. He earned his DMin in Leadership Studies at Singapore Bible College in 2015. For 17 years, he was the professor for leadership that equip organizational leaders in the Philippines and across Asia. He is happily married to Marianne and they have three children and one grandchild.
