Prayer Pointers -17 February 2022

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”. Psalms 133 -ESV

AT EAST, we are more than just a seminary. Learning and teaching takes place in a community of love which allows for life transformation. We are a family, uniting in love to help each other thrive in life and in ministry.

Praise God:

– That He draws us together here and now in Singapore, at EAST to learn, grow and inspire each other before sending some of us out to the mission field.

Pray for

– More registrants at EAST eOpen house in response to God’s call to be equipped at EAST.

– God’s provision and protection for all whom He has called to fulfil His purpose.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him”. Psalm 28:7 -ESV

While the wave of Omicron infections around the world has caused uncertainty, we as God’s children have an assurance and certainty in trusting our heavenly Father. We look to Him for protection and guidance in doing His will.

Praise God:

– That we can draw strength from Him for boldness in stepping out and moving forward in answering His call in our ministry while keeping the safety measures.

Pray for

– All staff and students of EAST, as they boldly and creatively share God’s love via webinars and through digital means.

– EAST community to bless others with God’s love and generosity that will touch them during this Lunar New Year festive season.

Prayer pointer -27 January 2022

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”.  Matthew 7:7 -ESV

The onslaught of Omicron seems to add to the whirlwind of change, uncertainty and a feeling of being trapped by circumstances. Many may be engulfed by hopelessness that rob them of the joyous life God has planned. However, as God’s children, we can continue to have hope!

Praise God:

– That we have an omniscient and omnipresent heavenly father, who leads us, every step of the way.  All we need to do is to ask, seek and knock at His door for directions.

Pray for

– All students and prospective students to have steadfast faith. Seeking the will of God and to taste all things new through the door God opens for them, to be equipping at EAST.

– EAST community, to continually and boldly asking, seeking and knocking at the door of God, for more students to join us in building and moulding each other to extend God’s kingdom.

Prayer pointers – 20 January 2022

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.  ~ Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV.

In a constantly changing environment, the pace of change has accelerated and continual learning is important for lifelong ministry. Students must acquire the mindset to learn, unlearn and relearn, trusting our Lord’s leading in the process.
