Biography
Ying Kheng served with the Operation Mobilisation in Africa and India for three
years before joining Cru Singapore (formerly Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ)
in 1978. She worked among campus students and professionals (6 years), served in
the Philippines (3 years), Hong Kong (3 years), and Korea (1 year) before joining
CRU’s regional office as a writer (18 years).
In 2006, Ying Kheng and her husband, Dr Roland Tan, joined EAST as full-time
faculty. Her main subjects at EAST are Research and Writing, and Soul Care. She
loves studying and teaching God’s Word, make disciples through her Bible studies
among women, and regular speaking ministries on how to listen to God, pause, and
care for their soul in order to experience all of God’s fullness.
Ying Kheng and Dr Roland Tan have a daughter, Julienne, an artist and art lecturer,
who serves with her husband, Kelvin, a church worker, at Bethesda (Frankel Estate)
Church, hey, they have a daughter, Julienne, who was born in Hong Kong.
